Beyoncé broke her 10-year hiatus from the Met Gala in a dramatic way.
On Monday night, Beyoncé walked the red carpet in a lavish, sequined dress that resembled a skeleton. She wore a dramatic head piece and paused for photos on the red carpet.
Her daughter, Blue Ivy, and her husband, Jay-Z, also attended the big night. The family posed for photos on the red carpet. Blue was seen in a lavish white gown and wore sunglasses. Jay-Z sported a simple black suit.
"It feels surreal because my daughter is here she looks so beautiful," Beyoncé said on the Vogue livestream Monday night.
According to the New York Times, minors typically aren’t allowed to attend the Met Gala, but exceptions were made for Beyoncé and Nicole Kidman’s daughters.
Beyoncé has played a major role behind the scenes of the Met Gala, serving as a co-chair in 2016.
